On the border between the municipalities of Sertã and Pedrógão Grande, along a line separating the districts of Leiria and Castelo Branco, the Cabril Reservoir is the perfect destination for enjoying the best that the river Zêzere has to offer.

The lake itself, created by one of the largest dams in the country, also hosts Pedrógão Grande Nautical Club, offering boat, canoe or kayak trips. The site also has a boat access ramp with capacity for about 20 boats.

Fishing, especially for large-mouth bass, is another of the activities available for a relaxing weekend at the Cabril reservoir, which also hosts triathlon competitions every year.
