The Peneda da Cascalheira - Secarias River Beach is on the banks of the Alva river, next to a dam.

It is a Blue Flag beach and was recognized by Quercus with the Gold Medal.

It offers plenty of shade, provided by the riverside grove of alders. It also offers extensive green spaces, parking and ease of access.

    Na N17: ao Km55, em Catraia de Mouronho, tomar a N337 em direção a Mouronho e Secarias. - IP3 desde Coimbra ou Viseu: perto de Penacova tomar o IC6 em direção a Arganil e Covilhã. Na N17, ao Km55, em Catraia de Mouronho, tomar a N337 em direção a Mouronho e Secarias. - A partir de Arganil: seguir as indicações Secarias/Côja, pela EN 342 ou de Côja seguir a mesma estrada em direção a Arganil. Após rotunda no final de Secarias ou à entrada de Secarias, consoante a origem, virar para Mouronho e Tábua e 200m mais à frente seguir placa que indica Praia Fluvial da Cascalheira.O6
