The location of the river beach is also conducive to hiking, where animal life can be discovered among the almost virgin forest. Furthermore the waters of the river are also rich in fish, such as barbel, nase and chub in abundance.

To reach the location from Vila de Rei head towards Palhota via EN348. Turn left onto the municipal road heading towards São João do Peso. Once in São João do Peso, follow the road signs for further directions to the destination.
