Cerejeira River Beach is one of the recreational areas worth visiting in the Pinhal Interior.
Located on the river Alvito and near the river from which it takes its name, the Cerejeira River Beach, near the Alvito beach, is one of the recreational areas worth visiting in the Pinhal Interior for its natural setting and quiet environment. Rich in fauna and flora, its attractions include its tranquillity and the quality of its waters.

It offers excellent conditions for camping and for fishing. The Recreational and Cultural Association of Cerejeira, which manages the beach and the bar, offers several types of boats for hire.

  • how to arrive

    Sair de Proença-a-Nova pela EN241 em direção a Sobreira Formosa. Seguir para Catraia Cimeira pela EN233, em direção a Castelo Branco. Virar à esquerda antes da ponte do Alvito, seguindo pela estrada alcatroada. Cerca de 1,5km à frente, virar à direita no cruzamento para uma estrada de terra batida.

    Public Transportation

    Durante a época balnear (23 de junho a 9 de setembro), há transporte gratuito a partir do Parque Urbano. Partida: 09h15 e 14h15 Regresso das praias: 15h00 e 18h30
