Bread Workshop

From traditional bread and cornbread to Pica de Cebola e Bacalhau (Onion and Cod Bread) and bread with chorizo, this workshop teaches participants to value and preserve the area's culinary heritage. It is a hands-on journey into the art of bread-making, keeping alive the gastronomic and cultural traditions of the region.

Schist Workshop

This workshop introduces participants to schist, the region’s iconic stone. It teaches the basic principles of working with this natural material, stimulating creativity, fine motor skills, and an appreciation for traditional craftsmanship.

Rodilha Workshop

Participants learn to make the rodilha, a once-essential item in daily village life that has largely faded into obscurity. This workshop revives the art and explores its historical uses, turning the rodilha into a symbol of Portuguese culture.

Broom-Making Workshop
The broom made of gorse branches may seem like a simple tool, but it has deep roots in medieval times and was once an indispensable household item. Today, it represents a sustainable, efficient, and ergonomic alternative while serving as a link to the individual and collective memory of the village.
