The River Beaches of Pampilhosa da Serra, Pessegueiro, and Santa Luzia are once again among the river beaches awarded the Blue Flag certificate for the 2018 swimming season.

Blue Flag accreditation, awarded by the Blue Flag Association of Europe, recognises and certifies the great potential of the natural resources of Pampilhosa da Serra borough and the quality of its existing infrastructures.

This commendation also values the Borough Council’s growing regard for and investment in the preservation of the environment and the promotion of its natural heritage and landscapes.

Pampilhosa da Serra Borough Council will continue to promote, throughout the whole swimming season, a set of environmental education incentives, seeking to strengthen the awareness for the preservation of the natural heritage and the safeguarding of ecosystems.
