On 2 December, at the Town Hall, Lousã Council raised the Flag of the Autarquia + Familiarmente Responsável, an award received for the 8th consecutive year.

The award of this prize is the result of the Council’s strategy, based on social sensitivity and consisting of support measures for families in Lousã, which include the family and social water tariff, social school support, support to citizens in economic need, support to students with special educational needs, school transport and meals, support for the purchase of school books and materials, and projects such as the Municipal Senior Plan, Social Action, Active Holidays and financial support to Clubs, Associations and Institutions.

This distinction was awarded by the Observatory of Family Friendly Local Authorities and awards local authorities that implement policies with a positive influence on the life of families and communities.
