Lousã was distinguished as a venue for “Outdoor Sports Practice” - within the scope of the Amigos do Esporte Municipalities programme, with 2nd place among municipalities with a population between 10 and 50 thousand inhabitants.

This recognition of good practices, especially in outdoor opportunities, is the result of existing natural conditions and the work carried out in the county, namely, natural practice spaces, equipment, outdoor sports facilities, events and sports programs held mostly in outdoor spaces.

The delivery of recognition took place on March 28, in Oliveira do Bairro. “This distinction is important and illustrative of the quality work promoted in the municipality, namely by the municipality and partner entities and should constitute an additional stimulus for us to continue to promote measures and actions that promote healthy living habits and the improvement of quality of life”, considers the mayor, Luís Antunes.
