From 12 to 14 September, Lousitânea – Liga de Amigos da Serra da Lousã (League of Friends of the Lousã Mountains), is promoting a Volunteer Action in Aigra Nova, in the municipality of Góis.
The initiative follows the fires that devastated the region last August and is intended as a collective gesture of regeneration, care and hope. Over the two days, volunteers will support reforestation work in the village and the restoration of the community livestock corral, a symbol of local life and traditions.
The programme runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and includes lunch for all participants. To ensure that the activity runs smoothly, it is recommended that each volunteer bring some tools (such as pocket knives, hoes, work gloves, hammers, etc.).
Registration is open via email at projectos.lousitanea@gmail.com or by telephone on 969 847 852.
This is an opportunity to work together to contribute to the recovery of the mountains and keep community traditions alive. And because regeneration also means being present, we invite you to extend your stay in the region. Find local accommodation at bookinxisto.com and contribute directly to the revitalisation of the communities that are resisting and rebuilding the future here.
