Turn your walk into a gesture for nature and help preserve the heart of the Serra da Lousã.
On 3 April, the Schist Village of Aigra Nova, in Góis, will host one of the stages of the Plogging Challenge Portugal 2026. This national movement, which travels through various regions of the country, now comes to the area to combine physical exercise with environmental sustainability.
Organised by ViolaCoach CARING METHOD, in partnership with Lousitânea – Liga dos Amigos da Serra da Lousã and the Municipality of Góis, this initiative invites the community to take part in a litter-picking walk (plogging). It is a unique opportunity to care for, preserve and enhance a natural setting of immense scenic value, promoting healthy lifestyle habits with a direct impact on the local environment.
The meeting point is set for 9.30 am at the Aldeias do Xisto shop in Aigra Nova, to begin a route of approximately 2.5 km between the Aldeias do Xisto villages of Aigra Nova and Comareira.
After the activity, participants will be able to enjoy a moment of sharing over a mountain lunch (costing €5), which includes mountain soup, plain and meat bread, wine and juice. Lunch reservations must be made via the registration form, with proof of payment sent to Lousitânea’s email: projectos.lousitanea@gmail.com.
Join this mission for a cleaner and more sustainable environment. Secure your place via the online form.
