Between April and May 2026, Figueiró dos Vinhos will host the Paredes Experience, an initiative that continues the celebrations marking the centenary of Carlos Paredes, bringing his work and influence to local communities. As part of the wider “100PAREDES” project, this programme takes a multidisciplinary approach that brings together music, education and the visual arts.

The event takes place on 25 April at the Museum and Arts Centre, with the opening of the exhibition “The Life and Work of Carlos Paredes”, which traces the master’s journey through his discography, audiovisual recordings and exhibition content.

A key feature of the initiative is the educational component, Musiclab, aimed at schoolchildren, which promotes direct contact with the Portuguese guitar and the creative world of Carlos Paredes.

The project culminates on 1 May with a community show bringing together musicians, local groups and participants from different generations, in a moment of sharing that blends tradition and modernity.
