From 2 to 7 September, the Aldeia Ruiva River Beach in Proença-a-Nova will host another edition of Aldeia Djembe Camp, an international gathering that celebrates African rhythms and sounds. The event brings together more than 70 participants of various nationalities, transforming the Aldeia Ruiva Campsite into a space for artistic and cultural sharing.
Over six days, the programme includes classes, masterclasses and workshops on percussion, dance, kora and balafon, among other activities. This year's edition features the presence of Moussa Oularé, considered one of the world's greatest percussionists, who joins a group of regular trainers at the camp.
In addition to the training aspect, there will be shows and musical exchanges, with the participation of artists from different genres and countries. On Saturday, 6 September, the event will be open to the community, with activities and presentations open to the entire population. At the same time, a commemorative exhibition dedicated to the history and spirit of Aldeia Djembe Camp will be inaugurated.
Registration is open until the start of the event via email at bangbangpercussoes@gmail.com. It is possible to register for the entire programme or just for specific workshops, depending on the interest and availability of each participant.
