Vanda Vilela is a visual artist and works in drawing, painting and collage, producing objects that refer to nature, outdoor life or games and toys. The relationship between art and nature is always present in her work. The artist collaborated with Aldeias do Xisto in the Agricultura Lusitana project, for which she created the pieces "Herbarium - Flora de Xisto/ Aves de Xisto", (“Herbarium, the Flowers and Trees of Xisto”) a set of 10 individual table and ten coasters, and "Hortus Herbarium / Silva Herbarium", a unique book-object bound by the author, handmade in accordion layout, representing horticultural and forest species of the Schist Villages.
