In the Japanese Ink Painting Course, we offer an experience of disconnection from our daily lives through painting, where artistic awareness is cultivated and sensations are explored so we can, finally, use paper and ink as a mirror.
This is an opportunity to delve into the meditative art of suggestion using minimalist means of expression, through a 1500-year-old Japanese artistic tradition.
Margot Toh-kou (東虹) Olejniczak will come to Cerdeira to share the art of traditional Japanese painting, a knowledge passed from generation to generation, from master to master, and which will now reach this village and its students. This is a fertile place for this meditative art, where we can observe nature and absorb its silence. The perfect context for an art that achieves its maximum expression with minimum resources.
During the 5 days course, you will have the opportunity to delve into the secrets of this beautiful art and cultivate artistic awareness by observing the nature that surrounds you. It will allow you to completely disconnect yourself from the thoughts and things that occupy you daily in your everyday life. You will learn to transfer your feelings and emotions to paper using original Japanese tools.
