Schist Villages of Portugal at the ITB Berlin

The Network of Schist Villages —Aldeias do Xisto— will have a strong presence at the ITB - International Tourism Fair in Berlin, Germany, as part of the promotion strategy of the Centro de Portugal destination. This is one of the biggest Trade Shows in the World dedicated to Tourism.
Schist Villages awarded “Best Discovery Travel”

The travel program developed by the German operator Wikinger Reisen — ZuGast in den traditionellen Schieferdõrfern des Pinhal (Welcome to the traditional Schist Villages of the Woodland) was awarded Best Discovery Travel by the prestigious German magazine Geo Saison.

The Network of Schist Villages has won an Honorable Mention in the 3rd edition of the Portuguese Tourism Awards (2007), in the category of Events.
The Schist Villages have an international project with Norwegian UNESCO site

Between the 31st March and 18th April, the III Workshop of the Schist Heritage Network takes place in Figueira, Proença-a-Nova council. This is an international project between the Schist Villages Network and the Røros Museum, a Norwegian city listed as World Heritage by UNESCO.
