In Casa Grande, a historically important 18th century manor, once belonging to the Fabião family, now operates the Schist Villages Headquarters.

It is equiped with an auditorium, library, training facilities, public Internet, county support, meeting rooms, and a well supplied refectory. It also hosts an Aldeias do Xisto store, as well as a rupestrian Art Centre.
